Bosch Mass Air Flow Sensor - In order to comply with the vehicle emission limits demanded by law, it is necessary to maintain a given air/fuel ratio exactly. This requires sensors which precisely register the actual air-mass flow and output a corresponding electrical signal to the open and closed-loop control electronics. The load sensor’s accuracy must not be adversely affected by pulsation, return flows, EGR, and camshaft variable timing, or by changes in intake air temperature. In addition to improvements in its function, and a more rugged design, the following air-mass meter features are also of considerable significance: compact construction, low weight, low power consumption, high quality and low costs.
