OE is w/o Gasket w/ o-ring/gasket

A gasket is no longer included with the pump offered at the dealer (the use of an appropriate sealant is recommended instead). The Aisin brand pump includes all necessary gaskets and o-rings. Pre-April 2004
pumps include a sealant "groove." Post-April 2004 Aisin removed this groove. You can use a sealant OR the gasket, either will work just fine. GMB brand pump is w/ water pump gasket AND rubber o-ring. There is NO "groove." You can use a sealant or the gasket provided, either will work just fine. NPW brand is w/o gasket and w/ rubber o-ring. There IS a "groove." You can use sealant or order the gasket separately as desired.
