Ishino Head Gasket Set - Select your Make

w/ HD gskt 12251PM5S02 - California This set contains a normal replacement head gasket (as installed during the engine's original assembly). If the head gasket is being replaced due to leakage, refer to Honda Service Bulletin 97-047. In cases of leakage, use head gasket 12251-P01-004 along with special head bolt #90005-PM3-004 (10 req'd.) instead of the head gasket in this set and the normal head bolts. Normal replacement (without leakage) should use the head gasket contained in this set along with the normal head bolts (NOT the special head bolts!).

The 3VZE engine is experiencing possible "head gasket" problems. The dealer has been covering the first repair up to 100,000 miles driven, but they are not covering the second head gasket repair. From 061705 our head gaskets are of the latest design change, containing the OE Sanwa made head gaskets, 11115-65033 and 11116-65033. But the actual problem is w/ the head design. Prior to 061705, our head gaskets, were made by Ishino, and were designed based on the 11115-65031/2 and 11116-65031/2, which will work just fine.

This set includes gaskets for both left and right cylinder heads. The following parts are not included in this head set and should be ordered separately as needed: cam plug 12266-PH7-003 (1), cam seal 91213-PL2-003 (2), thermostat housing o-ring 91313-P0G-A01 (2), and water pipe o-ring 91314-PH7-003 (2).
