In 1937, Victor Reinz introduced the first non-stick coating, then followed that up 20 years later with the first no re-torque head gasket. In 1984 Victor Reinz was first with Graphite head gaskets, then first again in 1992 with the Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket.
