Core Return Procedure
Due to the very high cost of shipping, we can not pay for the return shipping cost for a core.
All core returns and costs associated with returning a core are our customer’s responsibility. We recommend using the USPS or UPS Ground shipping, as it is the most cost effective way to return a core. Please do not return a Core postage C.O.D., as COD returns to our warehouse will not be accepted.
Core returns must meet the following guidelines to receive full credit.
- The Core return must be drained of all fluids and in the manufacturer’s original box.
- The Core must be returned within 30 days of the original purchase date.
- The returned Core that should be in good condition and should not be rusted and/or with broken, cracked or damaged housings.
- The Core must be returned fully assembled and should not be missing any parts.
- The Core must be the same part and or part number as the item originally purchased.
- Core credits will only be issued for the exact number of units purchased. The core credit will not exceed the original core deposit.
- The Core must be returned to our Core Returns department in Irvine California to revieve credit.
- The Core must have a legible customer sales order number on the outside of the package.
Core Return Instructions
- Remove any items from the core that may be needed for installation of the new part.
- Empty all fluids from the core and place in plastic bag and seal the bag.
- Put the bagged core and a copy of your invoice in the manufacturer’s box you received the new part in.
- Return the part to our Irvine CA warehouse and make sure you have clearly labeled the box with your sales order number.
- We will not accept any Core Returns that are without the sales order number clearly visible on the outside of the box.
- Upon receipt and inspection, DriveWire.com will apply a credit for the core’s value per the preceding policy.
- We will do our best to process the return quickly.
- Please allow 30 days for processing and credit.
