New CARB regulations that went into effect on January 1, 2009 now require
all exhaust catalyst devices that are sold in California regardless of
model year must meet the tougher OBD II emission standards that were
introduced in the 1996 model year. Until further notice, this catalytic
converter should not be used on vehicles registered in California.

Direct Fit Catalytic Converter - The dealer sells a header pipe kit (SOA5225110 for 1.8L and SOA5225111 for 1.6L) that does not include a catalyst. The catalyst section (SOA5225100) must be purchased separately from the dealer and then assembled with the correct header pipe kit. All of our y-pipe units are 1-piece and require no assembly. Also, remember to add the price of the dealer header pipe kit and cat.section together when comparing with the price of our 1-piece y-pipes.
