This sending unit is located in the left of in-tank fuel pump. For sealing o-ring use 16 12 1 150 391. Due to a fuel tank design change, models from production date 10/87 use a second fuel sending unit. This part is 16 14 1 152 266.

For fuel tank 16 11 1 178 913 which has a capacity of 81 liters. This sender will not work on models with levelling system as these models use a 91 liter tank and therefore use a different sending unit. The easiest way to determine which is correct is by length. This unit is 275 mm as opposed to 295 mm for the sender used in the tank with 91 liter capacity.
