Acura Legend Parts Maintainence and Information.
The Acura Legend was actually sold as the Honda Legend everywhere except the USA. The Legend was one of the first vehicles sold under the Acura name, and was the premeir sedan built by Acura until being replaced in 1996 by the Acura 3.5RL. The Acura Legend was a very well built car receiving Car and Driver's Ten Best three years in a row and Motor Trend's "Import Car of the Year" in 1987.
The Legend featured a 24-valve V6 engine, all wheel disc brakes, variable length intake manifolds, double-wishbone suspension, air bags and and a computerized system that could monitor maintenance intervals and fuel economy.

Maintenance Items - The Acura Legend was a very mecahnicall sound car that required only the basic maintainence until the car started to get excessive miles on it. One of the more prominant parts that are needed is the Axle Assembly as the CV joints wear out over time. the other items that tend to wear out are the shocks and struts as well as the ignition wires. The one item you do not want to overlook is the timing belt and water pump replacement evey few years.
Performance Enhancements and Accessories - The Legend seems to come alive with a Free Flow Air Filter and takes to the corners with an added bot of confidence with a set of KYB shocks and a Lowering Kit by Eibach. Adding a nice set of Custom Floor mats always add a bit of extra value to the car. For thoise of us who find ourselves going faster than the posed speed limit, the Escort 9500i will save you thousands in ticket fines.
