The Audi 80 headlight switch has small contacts that complete the circuit when the switch is turned to the on position. The contacts do produce carbon deposits over time that causes them to fail. If you can jiggle the Audi 80 headlamp switch and the lights go on and off, than the headlight switch does need to be replaced. We carry the OEM and Aftermarket Audi 80 headlamp switches that meet all OE manufacturer requirements for fit, quality and durability.

If your Audi 80 fails to start, and the starter is working properly, the next thing to check is the ignition switch. Typically if you have to play with the key to get the Audi 80 starter to crank, the switch is failing. We recommend replacing the Audi 80 starter switch as soon as you notice the switch beginning to fail. This will keep you from getting stranded. The Audi 80 neutral safety switch on vehicles with automatic transmissions can also fail causing the car not to start.

If the Audi 80 power window fails to go up or down, you need to determine if the switch is bad, the window motor or the fuse or circuit breaker has failed. The Audi 80 window switch is the cause of a power window not operating 80% of the time. We carry the Factory window switches including the master window switch assembly located in the center console or on the drivers door.

The Audi 80 wiper switch also houses the windshield washer switch and the wiper delay switch. Any one of these switches can fail. The best Audi 80 wiper switch to get is an OE quality unit, as they will last as long as or longer than the switch that came in the Audi 80 when it was new. Use our online cat log to easily find the correct Audi 80 wiper or washer switch.
