The BMW 320 cooling fan, or sometimes called the radiator fan, can be located on either side of the radiator and may either be operated by an electric motor or a fan clutch that is driven by the water pump belt. If you notice that your BMW 320 begins to overheat in traffic you may need a cooling fan switch or a cooling fan clutch.

The BMW 320 cooling system is made of aluminum components and requires a Phosphate free coolant. DO NOT PUT an over the counter antifreeze in your BMW 320, as it will ruin the radiator and water pump.

When replacing the BMW 320 heater hose or coolant hoses, make sure you use oem or genuine quality replacements as most BMW 320 heater and coolant hoses are preformed and aftermarket hoses will not work.

The BMW 320 coolant level sensor is located in the coolant recovery tank, and is an electronic sensor that notifies the driver in the case that the coolant level drops below the minimum level. If the light on the dash comes on notifying you that the BMW 320 coolant level is low, and the coolant is actually topped off, you have a failed coolant level sensor.

BMW 320 coolant recovery tanks are made of plastic and do crack and wear out. All of our BMW 320 coolant overflow tanks are OEM and Genuine parts that are exactly the same as you would get at the BMW dealer.

DriveWire has a huge selection of genuine and aftermarket BMW 320 Radiators at discount prices. Make sure you replace the BMW 320 radiator with a unit of the same shape and size for maximum cooling.

The upper BMW 320 radiator hose fails more often than any other hose, followed by the BMW 320 water pump bypass hose and the outlet heater hose from the engine to the heater core.

The BMW 320 thermal radiator fan switch is usually located in the radiator or the engine block and has 2 or 3 wires coming from the unit. The 3 wire switch has a dual sensor for dual speed radiator fans. The BMW 320 thermo fan switches come in the factory temperature settings and also come in cooler thermostatic settings so the fan will come on at a lower coolant temp.

Keep your BMW cooling system operating at the optimum temperature with a new 320 thermostat assembly from DriveWire. Get a new Thermostat to make your BMW 320 engine run cooler.
