Use only top quality BMW reman Alternators like Bosch or Denso. Cheap aftermarket BMW 530 alternators will cost you more in the long run.
If the BMW 530 battery cable is corroded, we recommend using only the factory BMW OEM cable with the correct 530 battery cable ends to maintain the manufacturers battery cable specs.

The internal type of a BMW 530 alternator regulator is located within the alternator and in some cases is replaceable. To replace the BMW 530 regulator you must remove the power form the battery. The preferred way is to just remove the ground or negative battery cable prior to servicing the BMW 530 alternator or regulator. If the regulator is internal and is not removable, then the entire BMW 530 alternator assembly will need to be replaced.
