Use only top quality BMW reman Alternators like Bosch or Denso. Cheap aftermarket BMW 535 alternators will cost you more in the long run.
If the BMW 535 battery cable is corroded, we recommend using only the factory BMW OEM cable with the correct 535 battery cable ends to maintain the manufacturers battery cable specs.

The internal type of a BMW 535 alternator regulator is located within the alternator and in some cases is replaceable. To replace the BMW 535 regulator you must remove the power form the battery. The preferred way is to just remove the ground or negative battery cable prior to servicing the BMW 535 alternator or regulator. If the regulator is internal and is not removable, then the entire BMW 535 alternator assembly will need to be replaced.
