Chevy Cobalt Parts and Cobalt SS Performance Accessories

Cobalt SSThe Chevrolet Cobalt was introduced by Chevrolet in 2005. In 2006 a non-supercharged Cobalt SS LS/LT was added to the lineup and was equipped with a 2.4 L naturally-aspirated Ecotec inline-4. In 2007, both engines were tuned for more power and the 2.2 L Ecotec is now rated at 148 hp (110 kW) with the 2.4 L Ecotec rated at 173 hp (129 kW). The 2.4L naturally aspirated, high-output SS coupe and SS sedan were renamed to Sport Coupe and Sport Sedan. The new Cobalt SS features a 260 hp (194 kW) turbocharged engine.Cobalt BG RS2

The Cobalt is popular with the younger crowd because of the available aftermarket accessories and the relatively low cost of operation and purchase. Many of the items that most Cobalt owners like to customize are the suspension adding a coilover kit or a set of lowering springs. Other items include a cold air or ram air intake, a ground effects kit, rear wing, and of course wheels and tires.

CAIDriveWire carries many of the performance parts listed above, and also carries the OE Replacement parts. When it is time to replace the brake pads or rotors we recommend using a ceramic pad with a Brembo rotor to provide better braking under more extreme driving.

One of the many Accessories we like to add is a 5” Monster Tach or a Boost Gauge by Autometer. And do not forget the Car care kit by Meguires! Finally save yourself hundreds in ticket costs with a Escort 8500 radar detector.
