The Plymouth Laser clutch master cylinder is located on the firewall typically next to the brake master cylinder and its primary function transfer the clutch pedal pressure to release the clutch. You will know if the Plymouth Laser clutch master cylinder is failing if you rest your foot on the clutch pedal and the pedal slowly goes to the floor.
The Plymouth Laser pressure plate is a critical part of your clutch assembly. You may want to upgrade to a performance or racing Plymouth Laser clutch pressure plate.
The Plymouth Laser clutch release bearing, also known as the throw out bearing is located in the clutch assembly behind the pressure plate and is around the input shaft of the transmission. The Plymouth Laser clutch release bearing is either mechanically or hydraulically controlled. An indicator of a bad Plymouth Laser release bearing is that when you put light pressure on the clutch pedal you will hear a grinding or a rubbing sound.
