Innovation with intelligent technology

XENARC lamps are in the family of discharge lamps and as a defining characteristic emit their light through an electrical discharge in the shape of an arc. Conventional halogen lamps, in contrast, shed light from a wire filament. The XENARC technology consists of a light arc between two electrodes in a microenvironment of xenon gas and metal halide salts hermetically sealed in a tiny quartz capsule.

For the XENARC system, an electronic ballast and harness is required to start and maintain the electrical discharge. XENARC lamps, the electronic control gear OSRAM XENAELECTRON, and the appropriate harness create the perfect combination for a complete system solution.
XENARC lamps are approved for use in special xenon headlights only. In Europe, such headlights must be fitted with automatic levelling and cleaning systems.

XENARC - better visibility, greater safety

• 100 % more light than halogen lamps and 300% greater luminous efficacy
• At 4,100° Kelvin Xenon lights have a color temperature closer to natural daylight than conventional halogen light (3,200° K) and are therefore easier on the eyes.

The brighter output means that the road is lit much better. Therefore drivers stay focused and can react more quickly to any obstacles, signs, or dangers. The light defraction is reduced to a minimum, so the oncoming traffic is not dazzled.

• With their extremely high lamp life, XENARC lamps outlast the average automobile.
• In such cases, there are no costs for maintenance or replacement.

Caution: Because of their high voltage, XENARC D2 lamps and XENAELECTRON control gears should only be replaced by properly trained personnel.

Installation Note: The Xenarc bulbs change color with usage and time, so when replacing the HID bulb, both bulbs should be replaced at the same time or you may have one bulb that will appear yellow and the other 'blue'.
