Window Regulators
Most cars and trucks that have side windows that can roll up or down use a window regulator. Whether the window regulator is power or a standard crank type, they will have a window regulator, the only difference is a motor powers one regulator and a window crank powers the other. The window regulator, like its name implies, regulates the motion of the window going up and down. Your window regulator is located inside your door and as such is often neglected until a problem presents itself.
Some window regulators will include a window motor while basic models will not. Because of the window regulators location and close proximity to the window glass, you should be very careful when replacing the window regulator. When ordering the window regulator, make sure you order the correct regulator! The drivers door on US made cars will have the left window regulator, and the passenger side will have the right window regulator.
