Heater Blower Motor

Heater Blower Motors
On any vehicle with a heater or air conditioning system there will be a heater blower motor or an AC blower motor inside to force air across either an evaporator or heater core. Often there will be a blower motor resistor used to regulate the motors speed. When you select a higher fan speed the blower motor resistor will provide less resistance to the blower motor allowing it to spin faster thus moving more air. Eventually your heater blower motor may wear out, especially if you have not been changing your Cabin Filter. When you are not getting any air despite what position you have the blower switch set at you may need a new heater blower motor or possibly a new blower motor resistor.

Be sure to check the heater blower motor resistor first to avoid spending excess money, as this may be the only problem. If in fact you do need a new blower motor we offer OEM, Bosch and Visteon units at up to 70% off. Replacing your heater blower resistor will usually be fairly easy but the heater motor will be a difficult task and is best left to a professional. Most heater blower motors are located behind the dash and will be difficult to remove and replace. DriveWire sells OEM, genuine, behr and other top brand heater blower and ac blower motors at discount prices.
