Distributor - The ignition distributor distributes high voltage from the coil and sends it to the correct cylinder of the engine at the precise moment of combustion.

Distributor Cap - The distributor cap is responsible for transferring the voltage form the coil to the spark plugs. The cap is made from a high resin plastic that withstands heat and very high voltage.

Distributor Rotor - The distributor rotor is located inside the ignition distributor and is attached to the distributor shaft. The rotor turns at one half the engine speed and is responsible for distributing spark to the proper engine cylinder thru the cap and spark plug wires.
