The fog lights and driving lights enhance your car or trucks low beams for improved visibility in rain, fog, or snow. fog lamps and driving lamps are typically available in amber or clear beam color. For many drivers visibility is one of the most important safety issues while driving! That is why today most car and truck manufacturers install fog lights or driving lights from the factory. As a driver you should not be impaired by an inability to see clearly in less than desirable driving conditions such as Rain Snow or Fog.
If your car is currently equipped with factory fog lights, and you are still having a difficult time seeing at night, you may want to get a higher wattage bulb, as most fog lights only come with a factory installed 55 watt bulb. You can actually get up to a 130 H1 or H7 replacement bulb for your fog lights. If your car does not have a set of factory fog lights, dont worry, there are hundreds of aftermarket fog light companies that provide bolt on kits that work as good or better than the Oem units.
Some of the more popular aftermarket fog light companies include - Bosch, PIAA, Pilot, If you install your own fog lights, remember when wiring the lights, that you only allow the fog lights to come on when the low beams are on! You do not want to youre your high beams on in fog or snow, as this will only cause the light to be reflected right back youre your eyes.
