Power Steering Box Information

    Power Steering Box
    The Steering Gear, or the Steering box is located at the end of the steering shaft and has a worm type gear that allows the input of the steering wheel to turn the front wheels. Most steering boxes have power assist that is driven by the power steering pump. Most steering boxes fail due to inadequate lubrication, so make sure you have plenty of power steering fluid at all times. The other item that fails is the hoses. Make sure to keep a good eye on the condition of the power steering hoses to make sure that they do not fail. We sell the genuine factory ZF and the Maval OE power steering boxes at well below the dealers prices.
