Anti Roll and Sway Bars
Vehicles today are usually equipped with a suspension designed for comfort and the result is a car or truck that has a lot to be desired in the handling department. In most situations the stock suspension does an adequate job, and you may only experience a problem when you make a sudden lane change or find a corner that has a decreasing radius. A vehicle without a set of sway bars will transfer weight to the outside front wheels when turning and will cause the vehicle to plow, push or under steer. This means the car want to go straight instead of turning thru the corner.
The solution is actually very easy! The addition of a set of Anti-Sway bars, you will notice a drastic improvement in handling substantially less body roll and better vehicle balance. For cars and trucks equipped with a single front bar, the simple addition of a rear bar will usually do the trick in reducing the understeer or push condition.
Sway bars come in a variety of configurations, and selecting a specific type of sway bar for your desired use should always be a consideration. For a daily driver, a solid type of bar with non adjustable ends and equipped with polyurethane bushings will be sufficient. For those looking for a more aggressive bar for racing or club events will want a tubular bar to reduce weight and adjustable ends for fine tuning of the suspension.
