Wheel Lug Nuts
Make sure you only purchase OEM factory quality lug nuts for your wheels. Most European auto manufacturers use either Aluminum or a Magnesium lug bolt and replacing the lug not with a steel unit can cause damage to the wheel stud and cause balance issues with the wheel and hub assembly. Sports cars like Porsche will use a very light wheel lug nut that is made of Magnesium, and using any other type of nut will actually cause damage to the wheel.
When installing new lug nuts make sure to use an Anti Seize compound on the wheel stud, this will keep the nuts from welding themselves to the wheel stud. You need to also use a torque wrench and use a cross pattern when tightening the lug bolts. Most 12mm and 14mm lug nuts should be tourqued to 80ft lbs. You should always check the manufacturer specifications for lug bolt torque and tightening sequence.
