1999 F-250 Super Duty Diesel Injectors

To 12/7/1998 - Exc. California When replacing a set of injectors, or the #8, be sure to check the #8 unit part number. In some engines the #8 is a different injector - a special 'Long Lead Anti-Cackle' Injector per Ford TSB's. (See XC3Z 9E527-AARM in these cases.) #1 - #7 injectors are always standard injectors. When the injectors are replaced, both fuel and oil leak into the combustion chamber. If these fluids are not evacuated, the engine could bend a rod (hydraulic lock) as it tries to compress fluid in the combustion chamber.
