Although the OE converter is 50-state compliant, the Bosal replacement converter is still awaiting a C.A.R.B exemption order, so it is not recommended for use at this time on vehicles designed for California emission standards. Diversified Environmental offers two converters for this application. The Diversified Environmental HON91660 converter has received a C.A.R.B. exemption order and can be used on vehicles designed for California emission standards. The less expensive HON1660 can be used on non-California applications.
