MAHLE Main Bearings - MAHLE Main Bearings support rotating shafts such as crankshafts, in the engine block. The mechanical stress in internal combustion engines is extremely high. MAHLE Main bearings have to meet a number of quality characteristics. They have to be fatigue-resistant, adaptable, tolerate high loads and be resistant to wear and corrosion. Kolbenschmidt Engine Main Bearings - Sputtered main bearing shells are used in the engine areas subject to the highest stresses. The mating shells are proven three-material composite bearings. For the main bearing, the lower half is sputtered. The correct installation position of the sputtered main bearing shell is a prerequisite for satisfactory operation.
Kolbenschmidt Engine Bearings - Kolbenschmidt Pierburg AG Germany which manufactures spare parts and engine components under brands of Kolbenschmidt and Pierburg for international automotive industry and reconditioning market especially in Germany. The Motor Service Division embraces Kolbenschmidt Pierburg AG's worldwide aftermarket activities in the engine repair shop and the workshop field. MSI Motor Service International Gmbh is the division's parent company.

Engine bearings are an important component of internal combustion engines. The development of plain bearings is therefore closely linked with engine development. Today, the complex requirements and increased stresses imposed on the bearings of the moving engine parts, such as crankshafts, conrods, tappets and camshaft generally call for the use of materials that are carefully tuned to the respective application. The large number of proven material combinations available meanwhile enables the design engineer to select the optimally suited bearing system.
