FIC Air Flow Meter - FIC rebuilt Air Flow Meters go thru a rigorous cleaning and inspection before they are accepted for remanufacturing. The process; AFM's are stripped to the component level. - All parts, mechanical and electrical are tested to meet OEM specifications. - Unit is assembled using known good parts. - Simulator then runs AFM through all phases of operation. - Spring tension, wiper position and CO screw are calibrated to OEM specification. - Once the AFM meets all OEM specifications the unit is sealed and packaged.

Bosch Air Flow Meter - In order to comply with the vehicle emission limits demanded by law, it is necessary to maintain a given air/fuel ratio exactly. This requires sensors which precisely register the actual air-mass flow and output a corresponding electrical signal to the open and closed-loop control electronics. The load sensor’s accuracy must not be adversely affected by pulsation, return flows, EGR, and camshaft variable timing, or by changes in intake air temperature.
