- Crosland oil filter is 5 1/2" long Some models ('94 on) require a shorter filter for clearance OES - Coopers - & Mann filters are shorter - 4 1/2" long - Due to increased maintenance intervals for new VW & Audi applications, Mann & Hummel developed this filter specifically with those intervals in mind. With a new advanced filter media that allows for increased service intervals, paralleled with better filter efficiency, especially when using synthetic oils. New high quality rubber parts are also incorporated, furthering it's compatibility with the new generation of synthetic oils. -
