55 Amp This Bosch alternator has an internal voltage regulator, but it will replace the alternator on some applications that use an external regulator by bypassing the existing external regulator. See Application Notice #B-23 in the Bosch reman catalog for more information. MB discontinued using the old 55 amp alternators on the Turbo motors in fav or of the 65 amp alternators.
