70A; 79mm Pulley; Reman - Remanufactured - 70-Amp w/ 79mm Pulley Bosch advises that cars used for short trip, low speed driving may suffer from insufficient battery charging even when alternator output is within spec. Cars with this problem that currently use the 79mm-pulley (70 amp) alternator should switch to the 69mm-pulley alternator (AL 338 X/BOS, 90 amp) or obtain the smaller diameter pulley from the Nissan dealer. Use of the smaller pulley may also require a change from the original 740mm belt to a 4PK-0730 belt instead. . This alternator can be either Hitachi or Mitsubishi brand. The two brands may differ in appearance, but either brand alternator will work on this application. - Remanufactured 70-amp w/ 79mm pulley (see NOTE!!) On rare occasions, minor grinding to remove excess material on the adjusting bracket may be req'd. -
